Automated e-ticketing for music events

once last spring my friend and colleague Alexander llxff we are going to organize a concert in Kazan one of the famous metal group. Well Pat your nerves and disillusioned with the organizational business, with grief in half he still had.

Had a lot of problems, and the tedious negotiations with those who are in any way associated with the concerts. At every step we had to collect the contacts of the right people and find at least some information about the clubs, the lessees of equipment, locations of ticket sales.
And so was born the desire to simplify the whole thing.

Since the most difficult problem was the distribution of tickets to the concert, we decided to start with her.

We have created a Orap – a platform for organizers of music events, which enable easy and fast to sell tickets. The system allows you to create event descriptions and put them into a poster. When you check in as the organizer, you can sell e-tickets.




To validate tickets at the entrance you can use our app on Android.
The app reads the QR code on the ticket and shows the validation status of a ticket when he purchased, cost and other details. If the ticket is left, the organizer learns about it too, as you try to pass on the ticket again.

The service is written in PHP 5.4 and MySQL(Doctrine). Storage cache, we use MongoDB. And as the Twig templating engine is used. As a search engine used by Sphinx.

The service itself lives only on the Commission of the cost of tickets to 10%. More we certainly do not take money and not going to take. In the 10% borne all costs associated with making payments. The Commission we charge the organizer, so the ticket cost 100 rubles, the same cost the buyer.

How is selling on the part of the Organizer


The organiser adds event website and poster. Then, enter information about the tickets and their numbers. Some of the design elements on the event page can be changed independently using the constructor.

How to purchase

Problem


Since beginning work on the project, it was attended by 3 people: a designer and two programmers. Because we all have work, had to work in the evenings and sometimes at weekends. After a while we leave the designer and successfully served in the Studio Lebedev.

Almost a year ago was just a big number. Looking back we see that it is not implemented even half of them. To focus on your core helped us in July 2011 on working weekends for startups (Harvest) the experts of this event.
