The new hubs. What I need and what all need?
Making your first post, I have received an invite, I decided that I was going to write a post a week, but it didn't happen. And a few times because of the fact that the chosen theme could not find suitable hubs. What should I do? My competence and questions lie at the intersection of management and marketing Internet advertising technologies (not the ads themselves, namely technologies) and with a side of I'm proud to consider myself a "technical person." But to share in a professional environment can't simply because there was hubs. Well, we will find a way around =)
First of all I want to say that in my opinion, are the stories relate to a significant number of Internet specialists, so start with them.
History There are some system statistics like Google.Analytics and Yandex.Metric. They are very functional, are widely distributed and solve the pressing issues of the advertisers, simple, site administrators, marketers, analysts and other representatives of the Internet ecosystem. But! There are a couple of things that cause questions and confusion. Let's start with Google. There is such functionality, like UTM tags, which allow you to split incoming traffic and analyze it. Everything looks good except one point that I failed to clarify experts. Traffic from different channels and with different sets of characteristics can be provided with the same UTM-tag. This can occur both accidentally and maliciously. But to share it back is not possible. Thus we may be faced with an unpleasant situation — when in order to save the budget an unscrupulous contractor pushes out two more channels using the same set of labels, deceiving as the system itself, and the customer. This issue has been resolved in the Metric is very simple — you can make a report with the intersection of traffic sources and labels. Why this is not in the Analytics of mystery. But that's why I personally recommend to use both the system statistics collection.
History one "but". In Metric is a great tool — a report on the bots and the ratio of the total traffic by days. But! There is no possibility to see the report with the bots crossing the traffic sources. No way to even make such a report yourself in design view. The investigation, I think even no need to explain. But it would be convenient to see the number of bots for each source, especially if you're shopping in tisenko, CPA and contextual advertising.
I thought to post this topic in the relevant hubs, but none were found. And some hubs do not have enough?
